The leaves have long since blown away
A few still dance in the wind to say
“This is another cold winter’s day”
Few creatures venture out in number
Most lay gently deep in slumber
In caves and burrows or on the hay
The wind’s a whispering each day
The leafy trees are stripped in dismay
No longer their green jackets sway
Free at last their long arms convey
Glory to the Lord Most High
Who Lives among us and in the sky
You Lord gently reply
With Words of Peace and Love
That no one can deny
Woe is Me
Lord why do I let You down
They say I can do it
But all I do is wear a frown
Lord I just want to quit
You say you will try
But then you go and cry
You keep asking why
On Me, learn to rely
Oh Lord I don’t know
My faith, will it ever grow
Please give me the go
A lesson to me show
You’ve got what you’ve got
And that My friend, is quite a lot
So do not be a cork
Just walk the Good Talk.
To my brother Philip.
