I wanted to walk down life’s' lane
But I had nobody to show me the way
i Sat on the sidewalk in total dismay
I heard a voice calling, "come and play."
So I picked myself up and joined the jamboree
Soon I found so many were on this Broadway
And life was so easy I wanted to stay
You called me so gently with tones quite clear
At first, I was busy and I could not hear
You called me again
By using my name
I stopped and I looked at Your Great Cross.
Where You hung and You died
To pay for the lost
Yes, I was to pay
The price was too high
You stood in my place
I'm wondering why
You told me You loved me
You wanted me to know
Where ever I travelled
You would always follow
You told me to trust You
And not be afraid
You promised to lead me
Even though I was dismayed
Now I am walking
Right next to You
I know You will lead m
And carry me through
He will lead us
Do not be afraid
The Lord, He is with us
Do not be afraid.
‘The Lord is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion.’ Numbers 14: 18
