Stained Glass Window

Sitting in an older church one-night I looked at the stained-glass window near me. What I saw was a maze of black lines. I knew this was a great picture of Jesus the Shepherd, but it was not visible now.

Earlier in the day I had seen that window, and the splendor of the artwork was plain to see. Each line, each shape, each colour was visible.

I had heard people commenting on the beauty of this window, but now it looked bleak and lifeless.

During the day the sun shone brightly through the window to show off the greatness of the master’s work.

Much the same in our lives, we need the Son to shine through us to show off the Master’s Work.
