We all meet people. Some people are big, some are small, and some are pretty, while others are plain. Some people we take to, but others seem to rub us the wrong way. Of all the people we meet many become our friends. Out of those friends, a few become close friends and only a very few become intimate friends.
As we look back through the years, we can see those friends and how they have influenced our lives for better or for worse. One wonders what has happened in their lives. Did Jack marry Beth? Was Garth successful at college? How far did Larry get in his travels around the world?
Not many, if any, of the friends that we met along life’s journey, seem to stay in our lives more than a few years. Yes, there is the exception, but by and large most of them are not in our lives today.
In my life I have found a friend that has stuck with me even though I had left him. He always saw the good in me while my other friends let me down. I was introduced to this friend when I was merely eight years old by a man called Billy Graham. That was many, many years ago and Jesus Christ has stayed my friend all those years. He made a Promise to me that He will never leave me or forsake me.
He wants to be your Friend as well. Invite Him into your heart!
