Have you ever watched a bonfire burn?
There are many reasons people make bonfires: To warm up on a cold winters night: Friends have come around and it’s a lot of fun: To burn useless materials on one’s farm.
A small spark is all it takes to get this huge fire to burn. While the fire is in full swing, it is so hot that you think nothing will put it out. As long as you keep fuelling the fire it will keep on burning.
Have you noticed that even though you are not part of the fire, you too start to burn! You get so hot that you need to move a little further away from the fire.
This is much like taking the Gospel to the nation. You take a small spark to someone about the living Lord, and it seems they start to “burn
with desire to serve the Lord.
While they are “on fire” for the Lord, it seems nothing will stop them. People around them are so influenced that they tend to draw closer to the Flame.
As long as this person keeps allowing the Lord to work in their lives, He will keep the desire to serve THE Lord, and others.
Even though you are not part of this fire, you cannot help being influenced by it.
