As a gardener walks through his garden, he always picks the best rose.
The Lord walks through His garden looking for the rose that He Will choose.
He stops by many, but for reasons only known to Him, He pushes on.
It seems He has missed all the good flowers up front.
Rather, He turns and goes to the back of His property. Few people go down
this way; because not many pretty roses have ever come from this part of the wind-swept garden. But, Jesus presses on looking at each flower.
Finally, He stops, bends down and carefully picks a rose. He has made His choice; it is you. You are the one He has sought for so long. You are the one He has been waiting to come to Him.
You see – He will not “pick” you until you are ready to come to Him, until you are willing to give up all that you have been embracing; until you are ready to toss all those things that have held you back from receiving all the goodness He has for you.
Why did He pass so many good flowers on the way? Several had such brilliant colors. Others looked perfect in shape and size. They all stood on the right side of the garden. Why was our Master so intent on this one?
When asked, Jesus replied, “This is the one I have been longing for. Many times, I went to see if you were ready, ready to let go and to come to Me.
I Love you!
