Lord I would love in some way to make You happy; to spoil You, to bring joy to Your Heart. Lord, I would like to bless You and make You feel special for this day.
Oh, that I could write a great song like the great hymn writers, that many people could Praise You with. Lord, if only I could preach a great sermon so all mankind would know that You are God.
Father, I have not been blessed with great words, nor do I have music in my veins. Yet still, if only I could say something, or even sing something to You, and You alone, so that Your Heart would be strangely warmed, that You Almighty God could be blessed by me, Your worm! Even me, the lowest of the low!
Lord, if I were able to write great hymns, or preach such sermons, who would give me the music or the words? Only You Father! Then I would feel like the little boy who, after receiving his allowance, turns to his Father and says, “Please accept a dime or two as my thanks to You for all the love You have given to me.”
Did the money not just come from his Father in the first place. Had the Father not given the money to him, the boy would never be able to show his gratitude in that way.
Lord in the same way, I say, “Thank You.”
“And Tiny, I say Thank you for your heart!”
